Description
Canada: 2018 $3 Thirteen Teachings From Grandmother Moon: Raspberry Moon Pure Silver Coloured Coin
Design: Algonquin artist Frank Polson has created a captivating image of a full moon filling the sky as it sits low on the horizon behind a tree at the height of its lush summertime growth. A cluster of four raspberries appears on the left, their succulent flesh portrayed in vibrant red. Black, sliver-like thorns protect the plant’s fresh new blooms that are illustrated with a series of concentric round shapes in black, green and red. These vibrantly coloured shapes, and those on the leaves, represent the spirit world, the universal life force that lies within and animates all things.
