"In November 1910, the team officially changed its name to "Club athlétique Canadien" after being sold to George Kennedy. The new name is represented by a stylized "C" and "A" found in the centre of a maple leaf across the jersey's front. This was the uniform worn by legendary goalie Georges Vézina when he began his brilliant 16-year career with the Canadiens that season. The team captain for the 1910-1911 season was Newsy Lalonde."
