Design: The coin showcases a Mallard mating pair swimming. The brown-and-white mottled female leads the way, glancing back at her mate, who turns his graceful green head to her. Behind them loom wetland reeds where water meets land, and further back still the pines and deciduous trees of Canada’s boreal forest tower against a bright, clear sky. Your coin is also engraved with the word “CANADA,” the date “2013” and the face value of “25 CENTS.” The coin was designed by Canadian artist Trevor Tennant.

Packging: The coin comes encapsulated and presented in a maroon flock-lined clamshell case. It is protected by a black sleeve and accompanied by a serialized certificate of authenticity.
