Design: The coin showcases a wood duck breeding pair in colour. In the foreground, the male sits on a branch, his bright red eye peering across his iridescent blue-black back and folded wings. Behind him and poised on the same tree, the female is viewed from her right side, her characteristic white-rimmed eye markings, indigo bill and chestnut brown breast and flank beautifully complemented by her aubergine wings. The coin was designed by Trevor Tennant.
Packaging: Coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint branded maroon case lined with flock. It is protected by a black sleeve.
