Canada: 2026 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Elizabeth II Special Edition Proof Silver Dollar

Design: Designed by Canadian artist Simon Ng, the reverse features an engraved representation of the Diamond Maple Leaf Brooch surrounded by decorative filigree. In the centre portion of the design, the artist’s take on the royal brooch is positioned between the words “CANADA” and “DOLLAR” and the double dates “1926-2026” commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, whose Royal Cypher appears at the top. The negative space within the filigree forms the shape of a maple leaf, with 13 leaves representing each of Canada’s provinces and territories. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
