"The 1912-13 season saw the Canadiens' jersey undergo a major facelift. Dubbed the "Barber Shop" jersey, it bore the team's name, abbreviated to "CAC," with the maple leaf remaining across the chest. Due to its similarity to the uniform worn by the Senators at the time, the Canadiens were forced to wear a different jersey when facing Ottawa. The club would improve its record to 9-11 during the 1912-1913 season, led once again by captain Newsy Lalonde, winger Jack Laviolette and goalie Georges Vézina."
